Well, things certainly have picked up since my last post...which I know was about two months ago now. I don't know quite why I don't update my fans, but I guess that I may have just gotten past my giant blogging stages.
My parents came out for a visit last month and it's funny that I have lived out here for a year and they hadn't made a trip yet, but I've still been able to see them plenty, so it doesn't bother me one bit. I was excited for them to come out, so that they could see my house that I rent and give them good things to brag about going back to virginia afterwards. My dad retired a few days after my last post and so far I think that he's enjoying his time off, although he stays busy preparing for a bible class every week at church and his mother was out there in Virginia for the past couple of weeks now, so he was also busy entertaining/avoiding her.
All in all, my family is doing pretty well. Mom's hair is growing back and there continues to be no sign of cancer, so i guess that chemotherapy worked! My little nephew is growing a lot and has been in the "Why" stage for about the past month. He asks "why" to everything. It's cute. My brother Scott has a new job now downtown denver and I think that he's really enjoying that, but I'm sure that the commute does suck. He's just seemed a lot happier since this new job, so that makes the rest of the family happy as well.
I've been playing softball now for over the past month with my two older brothers on one of their church teams. I also got my roomie Karl on the team, so it's been a lot of fun on Thursdays doing that. We haven't won a lot, but we've certainly had a blast and I'm glad that I'm getting some exercise. In June I slumped down on going to the gym and now I'm trying to keep up with that, since I do pay for my membership.
Work has been good for a while. When I posted my last post, it wasn't and so now I'm making sure that I'm getting 5 days a week. I started looking into other potential fields for work and just more money coming in and then Saturday about two or three weeks ago now, God came in to bless me again. One of the main directors at FSN approached me to see if I would be interested in training to learn a couple of the shows on the Graphics system that I've used at several places and learned at Around the Horn and it really made my life get a whole lot better when she asked me and really picked me up. I had known that they needed an extra person to run it and I guess I just had to be patient enough for it to happen, so with this week being the All-Star break, it was an awesome week for me to learn and to get onto the system. Today was my first day where I was in the chair, minus two segments where my main operator wanted to run the show. I feel that I will be able to handle it easily and my days at work certainly will go a lot faster. Assuming that I work out and prove that I can handle it, I think that I am going to be the main weekend operator, which will be awesome and I'll get more money as well which also makes life better, so I'm doing well for myself now in the realm of work.
I started my online graduate program at the Academy of Art University in June and that has kept me very busy. In the summer, they cram 14 weeks of classes into 8 and it is intense. I probably only have about two weeks left of this semester and then I can breathe for a few weeks till the fall starts and the work won't be due as often.
One of my good old friends from back home in Stafford is out here going through a publishing program at the University of Denver and it's very nice to see her after a couple of years. We went to church together back at Fredericksburg c o c and so it's been nice to hang out a little when I have had time. I still don't have a close group of friends out here, but there are a couple of people that I greatly enjoy hanging out with, so I'm sure that will change.
I really can't complain about anything going on in life right now, I just continue to be very fortunate and blessed. Now I have to go and create a website mock-up for this redesign project that we have been assigned, so I am going to head to school at 11PM on a Saturday night...good thing it's only a click away!
OH! There's one other thing! I found out a little after my last post that my real good buddy Tom and his awesome wife Angela moved out to Colorado Springs and so that has certainly been a blessing to have a close friend 45 mins away. I've hang out with him like once or twice and we were even able to go to the greek festival together when Ang was out of town and that was sweet. Ok, now I'm done.

Hello Mr. Baws,
You made your site so simple yet elegant. I see that you are a student. I’m glad that’s all over with for me!
I want to help people to really know why these are troubled times and what Jehovah God intends to do about the people causing the world’s problems: 44 "In the time of those kings, the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed, nor will it be left to another people. It will crush all those kingdoms and bring them to an end, but it will itself endure forever. (Daniel 2:44) (NIV)
